Williams Announces Local Share Account Grants for Chester, Delaware County Projects
December 18, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Craig Williams (R-Chester/Delaware) announced the award of Local Share Account (LSA) grants to support economic development and municipal projects in Chester and Delaware counties.
The Delaware County Economic Development Corporation received an LSA grant of $198,147 to purchase and install three digital kiosks and 64 interpretive wayfinding kiosks at 14 historically significant sites in the Chadds Ford, Concord and Thornbury portions of the Brandywine Battlefield Heritage Interpretation Area. The kiosks will connect to the existing Chester County heritage network and allow visitors to explore sites virtually, find directions, and access additional tourism information.
West Chester Borough received an LSA grant of $818,576 to replace a 21-year-old fire apparatus. The West Chester Fire Department consists of the First West Chester, Good Will, and Fame fire companies. The department serves six municipalities, relies on more than 200 volunteers, covers 27 square miles and serves 48,000 residents, and responds to about 1,800 incidents each year.
“These LSA grants support projects that deliver real value for our communities,” said Williams. “They strengthen local tourism and economic activity in the Brandywine Valley and support emergency response capacity in West Chester Borough and surrounding municipalities. I appreciate the local leaders who put forward strong proposals and pursued these funds.”
The Local Share Account program distributes a portion of gaming revenue to support economic development, public infrastructure, and community improvement projects in eligible counties across Pennsylvania.
